Khalid’s Corner: Old School

Words of wisdom from community leader, Khalid Elahi

I’m strictly old school. It was passed down to me, handed from from generation to generation.

Old school means you hold yourself accountable for your actions. We don’t complain about the outcome of situations. We stand by our actions.

I’m clear with my actions so explanation is not needed. I accept the outcome because I know what I put in.

I am the victor, not a victim.

I try to see how I can win before I quit something. It’s a fact that whatever you’re going through, it ain’t over until you quit in your own mind and you have declared it over.

Life gives a nod to the consistent and the persistent because those ways produce results. And that’s what we are looking for, results!

Have a powerful day.
