94-year-old Betty Reid Soskin was attacked and robbed in her Richmond home in late June. Reid Soskin, a ranger at the Rosie the Riveter WWII Home Front National Historical Park in Richmond, awoke to find a man standing in her bedroom. She struggled with the intruder before being dragged down a hallway, where the attacker struck here repeatedly. Since the attack, she has received an outpouring of support from the Richmond community as well as from around the country.
